I am very glad to have found your webpage. I have an MSI K9AG Neo2-Digital AM2 mobo with an Athlon 64 3800+, and I would like to do a cpu-upgrade.
I was confused when I saw that your list states several Athlon II and Phenom II processors, while MSI's website does not stat any of those on their cpu-compatibility list.
I don't say that I do not trust your information, but may I kindly ask you from where you get this information? The fact that MSI does not state these cpus makes me afraid of buying one of them. It is becoming urgent for me, because if these cpus don't work, then I will have to buy an Athlon X2 (K8), and these are becoming hard to find.
I don't know how to check in the BIOS itself for the CPU listing, so I cannot check anything myself. I only know that I'm limited to a tdp of 95w.
Thank your very much for your time. Carl Nauwelaerts Belgium
MS-9105 motherboard missing from list

Here's a motherboard to add: I have an MSI MS-9105 motherboard.
This is a dual Socket 370 Tualatin-compatible motherboard based on the VIA Pro266TD Master. It was made in two versions, MS-9105 and MS-9105RL, the latter having on-board 10/100 LAN and on-board hardware RAID with an additional two IDE ports (total of 4 ports supporting 8 drives).
It was an unusual server-class board (of its time) that has 5 PCI slots and an AGP 4x slot -- making it good for a desktop workstation.
This motherboard supports all Coppermine and Tualatin Socket 370 CPUs, and will overclock the FSB from 133 up to 166 MHz. I can get my pair of 1.4 GHz P3-S CPUs up to nearly 150 MHz before I lose stability. It's stable at 145 (1.525 GHz).
Search for 'Pro266TD Master' to get MSI's page on this motherboard.

Hi, i am currently using MSI MS-7174 motherboard.
I would like to upgrade my CPU without changing my motherboard, however the above list does not include my MSI MS-7174.
Is there any core 2 duo or Quad core CPU which i can use for my motherboard?
Many thanks

The table says the 1.4GHz cpus are "Not supported".
Does that mean "Not officially supported by the manufacturer's documentation (so might perhaps work if you try installing one)" or does it mean "Definately will not work if you install it on the motherboard - the motherboard and that cpu are incompatible"?
It means "Not officially supported by the manufacturer's documentation". In many cases they won't work at all due to unsupported FSB, core, etc. Sometimes they will work, but marked as "unsupported" by the manufacturer because they didn't pass all tests.
What does "Not Supported" mean in detail please?

I have just bought an ms 7253 motherboard as it is advertised as AM2. I luckily have 2 athlon processors, both same name and mhz numbers, but different socket. I had to give a bad report to the salesshop who sold me as AM2(he is still advertising it as that), would not fit, but the 939 fits and works! so, take the motherboard to a computer fair and try out another processor and memories too, to get the right ones, as buying on trial and error will cost you!! rick

If I'm not mistaken your MS-7069 motherboard is based on Intel 915G Express chipset. That chipset doesn't support any Core 2 processors and it doesn't support Pentium D too.
