Dell Dimension 1100 0wf887
Who makes the Dell Dimension 0wf887 motherboard? Did Dell make these boards themselves? I can't find a reliable source to say what the fastest CPU is that the board will support. Putting in an SL7B8 processor gives me a message at bootup saying "this processor is not supported by this motherboard and will run at reduced speed". It is running at about 2793 MHz, or 199.5 x 14 according to CPUID. IT should run at 3.2 GHz. And there is only one BIOS for this machine, A01. If anyone knows what this board will really support, please let me know. Thanks.

A 3.2 ghz should work as long as the fsb is the same as the cpu thats came with the pc cache will be 1mb max for a 3.2 ghz cpu with this board

the board will do any fsb but with a 3.2 it may not run becuse of the bios not supporting it try a 3 ghz it will work with this board not shore why a 3.2 doesn't good luck

my dell inspiron 1501 uses 0UW744 (RS480). Now the cpu is Turion 64*2 TL-68. But the graphics is really old, Xpresss 1150. Is there any better CPU I could upgrade? Thank you.

Hello! Did you buy your computer like that (with the TL-68), or you have updated from another cpu?
(I am planning to upgrade to a TL-68 TMDTL68HAX5DM from a sempron 3500+ SMS3500HAX4CM)
I am using the 0UW744 motherboard. I wonder if it's possible. (There is a significant 10 Watts difference.)

dell sells some of the gx520s with pentium d 820 probably the fastest cpu for the board

I wonder what the maximum cpu for this machine is, I need a little server but not to be fast, so anyway i want to replace the 1.7 ghz pentium 4 cpu currently installed. thougt about a 2.8 @400fsb P4, but can I use a HT cpu as well? Board has Socket 478, 1GB RIMM (1066MHz) installed. Would put a 3,06GHz P4 with HT @533 in if possible. or ist there even a better option? chipset is i850E according to cpu-z.
