When part numbers are not supplied by motherboard manufacturers,
we use best guess approach to determine part numbers based on CPU model,
frequency and features. In some cases our guess may be incorrect or incomplete.
Please always verify part numbers before committing to buying the CPU.
What is the sSpec code for this? or part numbers?

3.40 GHz 800 FSB, L2 cache:1MB, rev.G1 1009.008
My computer running great with this processoer using windows XP, however since updating to 1009.008 bios my AGP graphics card stopped working error code 43, this wasn't due to the CPU as still had my slower cpu fitted at this time. Because of error code aero will not work.
Does anyone know if there is a newer bios version available to fix this? I can roll back to 1008 but would have to go put a my slower cpu in again which would defeat the purpose.

My computer running great with this cpu using windows XP, however since updating to 1009.008 bios my AGP graphics card stopped working in windows 7, error code 43, this wasn't due to the CPU as still had my slower cpu fitted at this time. Because of error code windows aero will not work. If I roll back to 1008 the graphics card is fine.
Does anyone know if there is a newer bios version available to fix this? I can roll back to 1008 but would have to fit my slower cpu as 1008 doesn't support the 3.4 Ghz :-(.
Wonder if ASUS would be so kind to release another bios update to remedy this. would be very much appreciated by loyal ASUS customers.
Hey JIM, you are the lyon i whas looking for!
Can you confirm that? Lets check this again:
1) You have AGP graphic card. AMD-ATI one? Model?
2) You have this working OK in XP and later in Win7 with bios 1008. OpenGL was right then?
3) You changed to 1009.008 and then in Win7 error code 43?
I have same issues with 1009.008, might be downgrade is a solution for me. Sapphire Radeon HD 2400. I can see Win7 replaces AGP via hyperion with native microsoft driver. Via do not support P4X533 in Win7.
Wait for your response, thanks in advance.

I am using a Radeon 9800 Pro, its works with windows 7 when on 1008 bios, however does not work with the latest bios, windows aero will not work, error code 43, switch back to 1008 bios all is well.
I had to put my 3.06ghz P4 processor back in and confirmed this. Note the graphics card works on either bios with windows XP.
Unfortunately for me I prefer the faster processor so have the 3.4Ghz installed, but have to use the 1009 bios, so have to use windows XP otherwise graphics card is no use. I beleive the problem is with the bios, and nothing to do with the graphics card.
Bios and Vga
Jim...
P4V8X-X
Pentium IV 3.0 HT
ATI Radeon HD3850
I'm having the same problem... Early in 2006 I made a update of bios to 1009.008
Now I'm using win 7 and the Vga doesn't work because code 43. I don't have any floppy drive to make a downgrade of bios (and I'm afraid to do it)!
Do you have any suggestion? Have you solved your problem. I'm waiting for a reply!
