April 19 - CPU upgrade data on socket 775 and socket AM2/AM2+ Biostar
motherboards was added to the site. Data on older Bisotar motherboards will be added in the
few weeks.
December 17 - If you cannot find CPU upgrade information for your motherboard on the site please post a comment on any motherboard manufacturer page. I may not have the data for your motherboard, but I'll the following things - I'll create a page for this motherboard model and move your comment there, and I'll try to find data for your motherboard and add it to that page. Even if I won't find the data there will be a small chance that somebody else will answer your question. As an example of this please see Asus P4B266-LA page - it's an OEM motherboard used in HP computers, and ASUS site doesn't have any data for this motherboard on their site. September 28 - Information on ABIT and DFI motherboards was updated today. From now on I'm not going to post new about these types of updates. Instead, for each manufacturer on the front page I added a date when information about that manufacturer motherboards was updated. September 26 - CPU upgrade information for all ASUS motherboards was updated. September 14 - More than 97% of all processor records have part numbers now. Also, almost all processor numbers are now linked to pages with processor information. Now I can concentrate on updating CPU upgrade information. In the next two weeks I'm planning to update ASUS data, and, if time permits, I will add data on old ABIT motherboards. September 8 - Another batch of part numbers were added today. Currently more than 85% of all data have part numbers. I will need to do one more update in the next two weeks to put all remaining CPU part numbers online. August 31 - More part numbers were added to CPU support pages. My estimate is that about 2/3 of all pages now have part numbers. I still need to update Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, Sempron and other K8 processors, socket 775 Pentium 4 processors and Slot 1 processors. This should be some time in September. August 18 - After three month delay I found some time to update more part numbers. This time I updated Celeron D, Pentium D, Sempron, and Athlon 64 FX microprocessors. May 21 - I started adding part numbers to CPU support pages. It's a long process, which will probably take a few weeks to complete. So far only 20% of records have part numbers - mostly Athlon XPs, Durons and some Athlon processors. Today I also fixed ASUS motherboard pages - they no longer have PCB and BIOS versions mixed up. April 13 - The site now has data on Shuttle motherboards. Next site update will be some time in May. I believe that CPU upgrade information that is currently on the site is not complete without processor part numbers. So, I'm planning to add part numbers to many pages. This will be spitted into a few separate updates as to update even one hundred motherboards I'll have to go through a lot of data, and the site currently has data on about 2500 motherboards. April 6 - I posted information on ABIT motherboards. March 3 - It is now possible to post comments on motherboard pages. Posting doesn't require registration, and comments/questions are posted immediately. To reduce amount of spam I had to program the comment form not to accept any comments containing HTML code or links. I will monitor all posted comments and may remove abusive comments. If you post a question I will respond to it only if I know the answer. February 24 - We now have CPU upgrade data on more than 100 ASRock motherboards. I'm still working on comments system. It was delayed, I estimate it'll be ready some time next week. February 17 - CPU support information for DFI motherboards was added to the site. Sometime next week I'm planning to change all pages so it'll be possible to post comments on motherboard pages. January 10 - I put online CPU support information for PC Chips motherboards. December 28 - The site now has data on ECS motherboards. December 14 - I uploaded data for remaining 350+ Gigabyte motherboards. December 11 - I started adding information on Gigabyte motherboards. So far I have data for about 200 motherboards. More information will be added later this week. December 1 - About 40 MSI motherboards missing in yesterday's update were added to the site. November 30 - I added many MSI motherboards. I'm sure I missed some of them, but majority of recently released boards should be in the database. November 27 - You can now use Search page to search the site. November 25 - Data on more than 200 ASUS and Jetway motherboards was added to the site. November 24 - The first batch of cpu support pages for about 350 different ASUS motherboards is ready. These pages are now uploaded to the site. When I can I'll add motherboard search feature to the site, and then I'm going to start working on other motherboard manufacturers. |

| About CPU-Upgrade.com | |
|
There are a few good motherboard databases on the net, but they lack one
thing - they don't tell specifically what processors can be used in the
motherboards. The purpose of CPU-Updgrade site will be just that - to host a
motherboard database that will allow visitors to find out what processor
upgrades they can use on their motherboards. The database is not going to
list all motherboard features, or allow people to download BIOSes or manuals
for different motherboards. Like I said, there are other good sites that have
this information, so adding it to CPU-Upgrade database is very low-priority
task for me. | |
